Volunteers make the difference at the NCH Healthcare System. As a volunteer, you help your community healthcare system provide services that are vital to its operation and to the well being of its patients.

The volunteer staff is comprised of very special people from all walks of life, age 15 and older, who take time out of their busy schedules to donate their time and talents to serve those in need. Volunteers work in many departments within the hospital and in our outpatient service areas. Some volunteer service areas allow you to interact with patients and their families. Other service areas do not include patient contact such as our Gift Shop, Thrift Shop and clerical/staff support positions.

There are tangible benefits to becoming a volunteer (discounts in the cafeteria, wellness center and from local businesses). For some of you who may be considering a career in healthcare, volunteering is an excellent way to become exposed to the healthcare field. Others may have a desire to mingle with other like-minded individuals resulting in possible newfound friendships. However, most importantly, you will get the satisfaction of knowing you are helping others and making your community a better place to live.

It's easy to become a volunteer. To request an application (ADULTS: click here to apply online) (STUDENTS: click here to download the application) or to schedule an interview, please contact the campus where you would like to serve your volunteer hours.
