Therapy for Lymphedema is one of our many specialty programs.Lymphedema Treatment
Lymphedema occurs when the lymphatic system is impaired and cannot handle the accumulation of fluid in the body. Lymphedema typically occurs in one of your extremities following breast cancer treatment, trauma to an extremity, infection, radiation, or when lymphatic vessels are injured.
Our experienced and compassionate lymphedema therapists are certified in The Vodder technique, the gold standard in manual lymph drainage treatment. Treatment plans are based upon individual needs and may include Complete Decongestive Therapy, (CDT), and the use of compression garments.
Patient education and instruction plays a key role in managing Lymphedema at home. Our therapists instruct patients on how to manage gains made in therapy.
