Breathing with Control
Inpatient
This phase involves assessment of patient needs. The patient is scheduled for outpatient sessions post discharge. Referral must be made by a physician.

- Bronchial Hygiene
The educational process includes the use of audiovisual aids, printed materials, and counseling with the patient and family.
The goal is to provide the patient with education and techniques to provide self help geared toward improved quality of life and decreased hospitalizations.

Pulmonary Rehab Program
This is an outpatient comprehensive, individualized, progressive exercise program designed to education the pulmonary patient to increase cardiovascular and pulmonary fitness. The classes are supervised by respiratory therapists, and exercise specialists. The program is under the direction of a medical director who is a licensed physician.
Patients enter this phase by physician referral and attend 36 sessions. A circuit interval training program is based on each individual's needs and may include:

Periodic supplemental educational sessions are held at regular intervals on:
- Emotional Well Being
- Nutritional Counseling
- Pharmacy Review (if needed)

Pulmonary Maintenance
This is an outpatient, maintenance exercise program designed to maintain cardiovascular and pulmonary fitness. The classes are supervised by a comprehensive team of professionals with the patient as the most important member of the team. Ongoing education continues encouraging family involvement. The emphasis is placed on the patient taking responsibility for his or her own health.
The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is available to all patients with chronic obstructive and/or restrictive pulmonary disease to include:

Other studies as deemed necessary by the patients physician.
Fees
Insurance usually covers 80-100% of the hospital charges. We suggest you call your agent to determine your coverage.
