Community Blood Center, an affiliate of the NCH Healthcare System, Community Blood Bank Logosupplies hospitals in Collier County with life-saving blood products. When a donor gives the gift of life at the Community Blood Center location in Naples or on the blue and white Community Blood Center bloodmobiles, he or she is helping to ensure adequate levels of blood products are available in area hospitals and ready for local patients, friends or family who suddenly need them. It is estimated that nine out of ten people who live to age 70 will require a blood transfusion.

News & Announcements

NCH Community Blood Center's Naples Branch office will be closed Thurs. & Fri. Nov. 23 & 24 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Holiday weekend blood drives are listed on this site & whole blood donors are needed to to ensure adequate resources are available.   

NCH Community Blood Center's greatest priority is to collect platelets by appointment before & after the holiday at the Naples Branch: 311 Ninth Street North, Suite 201, Naples 34102. 

Criteria to donate platelets: You must be aspirin-free within the last 48 hours. Some restrictions apply for women who have been pregnant.

If you wish to donate platelets, please call us at 624-4120 and CHOOSE OPTION 3 on the phone menu. Leave a message with your name and phone number and we will call you back as soon as possible to answer any questions or to schedule your platelet donation appointment.  It takes about 2 hours to donate platelets, you must eat a meal, be well hydrated with water or juice and have a photo ID

No appointment is necessary to give whole blood.

 Community Blood Center Naples Branch Office is located in Suite 201 on the second floor of the 311 building on the NCH Downtown Campus near the parking garage. Donors also have the option to utilize the complimentary valet service.

Whole blood, automated red cell, & platelet collections. Therapeutic & autologous (pre-surgery) phlebotomies by appointment only.
