Michael Carr, MD, Ph.D., F.A.A.P.


Dr. Carr completed his PhD in biochemistry at the Ohio State University followed by medical school and surgical training at the University of Cincinnati.

He went on for his urology residency at Boston University and his pediatric urology fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. He was on staff at the University Of Washington School Of Medicine and Seattle Children's Hospital before moving back east to join the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for the past 16 years. During this time, he became co-director of pediatric urology as well as Associate Professor. He has published extensively in multiple areas of pediatric urology and has helped train numerous urology residents and pediatric urology fellows over the years.


Dr. Carr is a board-certified pediatric urologist who recently joined Kidz Pediatric Multispecialty Center in Naples Florida. He is the first surgical subspecialist to join this group and looks forward to providing urologic care to the children of Naples and surrounding areas. His professional interests include prenatal diagnosis and evaluation, neuropathic bladder management, reconstructive surgery and voiding dysfunction.


While not working, Dr. Carr enjoys being outdoors with his wife, Ann Roberto, who is a pediatric nurse practitioner in Pediatric Primary Care at NCH. They have become empty-nesters and look forward to their five children and first grandchild visiting beautiful Naples.
